Trinity Celtics Baseball Team Splits with Remington, Trinity Softball Drops Two Games

Because of weather and unplayable field conditions, Friday’s baseball and softball high school games between Hutchinson Trinity Catholic and Remington were moved to Hutchinson from Whitewater.

The baseball doubleheader was played at the Rice Park Baseball Field and the softball games were played at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Softball Complex in South Hutchinson.

Trinity’s baseball team (8-2) split with Remington, losing the first game 4-2 and winning the second game 11-1.

The Remington softball team swept Trinity 13-0 (Game 1) and 16-1 (Game 2). Remington pitcher Britany Klaassen threw a no-hitter in the second game.

The Trinity baseball and softball teams play at Moundridge on Tuesday. Moundridge swept Bennington Friday 14-1 (Game 1) and 20-1 (Game 2).

The Remington baseball team hosts little River on Tuesday. The Bronco softball team plays a 4 p.m. doubleheader at Hesston Monday.
