MCPHERSON, Kan. – Tabor College Baseball took on McPherson in the mid-week series finale between the two teams on Wednesday afternoon.

GAME NOTES

  • With the win, the Bluejays improve to 21-23 on the season and 17-15 in KCAC play
  • Wednesday’s game marks the 53rd all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to 2011, when McPherson started their varsity baseball program
  • Tabor owns a 41-12 record in the all-time series

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

  • Jared Mack hit a solo home run in the top of the 4th to give the Bluejays a 9-1 lead
  • Danny Zepeda led the way offensively with four RBIs, while Mack (2 RBIs), Jose Narvaez (two RBIs), Judah Powell (two RBIs), Cole Schieffer (one RBI), and Easton Norris (one RBI) also chipped in
  • Kaison Overbey also had himself a day with two hits and a massive triple
  • Powell earned the win on the mound, striking out three batters in five innings
