McPherson High School Girls Soccer and Girls Swim were in action on Tuesday, April 14. The soccer team won an overtime thriller against Rose Hill 2-1, while the girls’ swimming team placed 3rd in the Campus Invite.
SOCCER
The Bullpup Soccer team outlasted Rose Hill on Tuesday, 2-1, in overtime. Allison Randa scored McPherson’s first goal, which came in the second half. Caysen Blake delivered the game-winning goal in the extra frame to give McPherson the win.
The win moves McPherson to 5-2-0 on the year. They will stay home to face Salina South on Friday, April 17.
SWIMMING
The McPherson Girls Swim team took 3rd in the Haysville-Campus Invite on Tuesday. Adyson Wiens earned two State Qualifying times, after placing 3rd in the 100 Freestyle (59.22) and 4th in the 200 IM (2:27.58). Ella Shchrag finished 2nd in the 100 Butterfly and 4th in the 50 Freestyle. Brinnley Rodriguez also finished 3rd in the 200 Freestyle.
