McPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson High School Boys Tennis had a strong week with a win at the Lyons Quad on Tuesday, April 7, and finishing as runners-up at the Andover Invitational.
Three of the five entrants in the Lyons quad won their respective brackets. Parker Riemann won the #1 Singles, Logan Allen won the #2 Singles, and Bradon Holm / Derek Stucky won the #2 Doubles. Holtyn Hamblin / Jacob Achilles finished as runners-up in the #1 Doubles, which was due to a three-way tie that was determined by win percentage.
Cooper Bohme highlighted McPherson’s strong day in the Andover Invitational, winning the #1 Singles tournament, defeating a member of the 2025 4A State Championship Doubles team. Rylan Unruh finished 3rd in the #2 Singles.
Mason Eisenbarth & Jonas Emery finished as Runners-Up in the #1 Doubles tournament. Hayden Siemens / Parker Riemann finished 2nd in the #2 Doubles, while Kepple Butcher / Jack Boese placed 4th.
McPherson finished just three points behind Andover, who won the invitational.
