Sterling starts spring season at Kyle Blaser Invitational

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Sterling College Golf opened up their spring season at the Kyle Blaser Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, March 16-17. Anders Hermansen let the Warriors, tying for 18th with a final score of +14, highlighting the team’s performance at Gaillardia Country Club.

The Gaillardia Country Club is a par 72 course with a yardage of 7,255 with an average score of 79.98 for the tournament.

Sterling faced a challenging field in stroke play. Hermansen led the team, tied for 18th place with a final score of +14. He improved his performance from Round 1 to Round 3, reducing his score from +8 to +6.

Zach Surface finished in 26th place with a final score of +18. He carded a +10 in Round 1 and improved slightly to +8 in Round 3.

Sondre Storli Jensen and Tobias Tajet both tied for 31st place, each with a final score of +21. Jensen scored +8 in Round 1 and +13 in Round 3, while Tajet had a similar performance, posting a +7 in Round 1 and a +14 in Round 3.

Andres Thomas Castelblanco Salamanca finished in 42nd place, recording a final score of +36. He faced challenges in both rounds, with scores of +20 in Round 1 and +16 in Round 3.

Up next, the Warriors will travel to Enid, Okla. to compete in the Oakwood Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, March 23-24 at the Oakwood Country Club.
