Hesston, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Softball team played games three and four against the Hesston College Larks, this time on the Larks’ home turf.
GAME 1: SWEDES 8, LARKS 1
The Swedes surrendered the Larks’ lone run of the contest in the first inning. Afterwards, the Swedes went on to score an unanswered eight runs with five coming in the seventh inning.
Five Swedes would record two hits apiece. Ulissa Rivas would drive in three RBI while Ashaya Steele and Marissa Wells would tally two RBI each. Emmaline Senecaut would record her third stolen base of the season.
Dylann Baker threw a gem as she lasted all 7.0 innings to take the complete game win. Baker only gave up three hits and one walk while striking out nine.
GAME 2: SWEDES 17, LARKS 5
The momentum would carry over into the second game for the Swedes as they would score eight in the first two innings. Just to outdo themselves, they would drop another eight in the sixth inning to win via run-rule 17-5.
Gabrielle Nigro had her best game as a Swede going four-for-five at the plate while scoring two runs and driving in another two. Kalee Aguilar showed out as well going two-for-three with two walks while driving in two other Swedes and touching home plate twice herself.
Paris Hammer drew the start lasting 3.2 innings while striking out three. Jordyn Stelzig entered in relief and pitched the final 2.1 innings allowing just three hits.

The Swedes are now set to play the Tabor College BlueJays on Wednesday, March 18. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1:00 PM in Hillsboro, Kan.
