The Little River girls basketball team will play Centralia at 5:30 p.m. Friday night in the Final Four semifinals of the Kansas Class 1A Division I girls state tournament.
Little River (25-2), the Class 1A DI state runner-up in 2025 and the No. 1 seed in the 2026 state tournament, defeated Central Plains 57-27 in the quarterfinal round Wednesday at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina.
Little River had three players in double figures, led by Havana Olander with 17 points. Arika Feldman scored 14 points (including three 3-pointers), 6 rebounds and 4 steals) and Avery Lafferty scored 13 points. Saelyn Raleigh had 4 steals for Little River.
Centralia (23-2) defeated Quinter 53-39 Wednesday afternoon at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina.
The semifinal winners will play for the state championship at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Dodge City’s United Wireless Arena.
Central Plains finished the season with an 18-9 record and Quinter finished 22-5.
