In Class 3A girls substate play at Lakin, the Lakin girls got the convincing win over the Lyons Lions, 68-23.
Lakin raced out to a 24-7 first-quarter lead and then matched that point production to lead 48-14 at the halftime break.
Lakin had three players in double figures, led by Aryn Michaelis with 17 points, followed by Kate Miller with 12, and Amari Esquibel with 11.
Lyons was led by senior Keirah Davis with seven points.
Lyons closes their season at 2-20. Lakin improves their record to 18-4 and will advance to the semifinal round on Wednesday, as the Broncs will face Ellsworth.
