Lyons High School has hired Wyatt Seidl as its new head football coach.
Seidl comes to Lyons after previously serving at Liberal High School as the defensive coordinator in a successful program turn-around.
Under Seidl’s guidance, the Liberal powerlifting team was able to produce many school record-holders and one powerlifting national champion.
Wyatt’s wife, Liberty, will be a fourth-grade teacher at Lyons Central Elementary School.
Lyons finished the 2025 season with a 1-8 record (finished seventh in district with an 0-5 record). Lyons finished 0-9 in 2022, 1-8 in 2023 and 2-7 in 2024.
Lyons’ last winning season was in 2013.
