16th Place Finish for Women’s Bowling in Regular Season Finale

Indianapolis, Ind – The Bulldogs finished their regular season with a trip to the Hoosier State over the weekend to compete in the 57th Annual Hoosier Classic. This tournament’s format featured five traditional team games on Saturday and three sets of five baker games on Sunday. The top eight teams based upon total pinfall from Saturday and Sunday advanced to the match play bracket.

The Basics

Place: 16th of 64 Teams

Day One
The first day of the Hoosier Classic featured team games scores of 1,003, 983, 921, 922, and 938 for a Day One pinfall total of 4,767. After the day was over, the Bulldogs finished 14th place of the 64 teams competing in the tournament. They were 83 pins out of the top eight match play cut. Veronyca West finished the day as the high individual finisher for McPherson as she placed 26th of the 470 competitors. West had an impressive day with games of 259, 196, 196, 177, and 196 for a five-game total of 1,024 (204.8 avg).

Day Two
McPherson would compete in three sets of five baker games in each set on Sunday for the second day of the tournament. The Bulldogs finished with sets of 887, 961, and 835 for a Sunday total of 2,683.

This brought their weekend total pinfall to 7,450, which was good enough for a 16th place finish at the Hoosier Classic.
