The Haven High School varsity girls and boys basketball teams split their games against Hoisington Tuesday night at the Hoisington Activity Center.
The Haven girls defeated Hoisington 55-44 and the Haven boys lost 62-48.
The Haven girls outscored Hoisington 14-2 in the final 5 1/2 minutes.
Avery Brawner poured in 28 points for the Wildcat girls. Hadley Idacavage and Karlee Cooprider each scored 8 points.
Kelsi Maier led the Hoisington girls with 14 points and Addison Hazlick added 13. Bittel chipped in with 9 points.
In the boys game, Hoisington senior Mason Martin reached the 1,000 career point milestone by scoring 24 points. He also grabbed 9 rebounds.
Martin averages 21.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.1 steals and 1 block per game this season.
Crawford added 11 points for the Hoisington Cardinals and Ingram scored 8. Brogan Wray led Haven with 11 points.
Wyatt Bontrager and Cole Brawner scored 8 points apiece for the Haven Wildcats.
Hoisington boys coach Kyle Haxton posted his 200th career victory.
Haven hosts Halstead on Friday night. Hoisington plays at Nickerson.
