Goodwell, Okla. – The Tiger Women’s basketball team was back in action last night against the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies, who they defeated earlier this season looking for the same outcome following a home loss.
The Tigers had a rough start to the game scoring only 3 points in the opening quarter as the Aggies notched 18 while shooting 46%. The Tigers began to get some shots to fall in the 2nd quarter and even outscored the Aggies in the 3rd quarter but the rough start proved to create a deficit too hard to overcome. The Tigers shot just 26.3% from the field and were out rebounded 51-27 as the Aggies allowed little second chance opportunities.
Charmayne Marshall led the way for the Tigers in scoring with 20 points and Madyson George pitched in with 11.
The Tigers are now 6-18 (2-16) on the season and will turn their attention to an away contest against John Brown University in Arkansas on Thursday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00pm and the game will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
