HUTCHINSON, Kan. – February 5, 2026- The City of Hutchinson will host two public information meetings to provide residents with information about the city sales tax question that will appear on the March 3, 2026 ballot.
The meetings will be held on Tuesday, February 10, and Monday, February 16, both beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall. Each meeting will follow the same format and cover the same information.
During the meetings, City staff will present a brief overview explaining what is included on the ballot, why a city sales tax is being considered, and how the City reached the decision to place the question before voters. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions, which will be addressed by City staff and elected officials.
These meetings are intended to provide residents with a clear understanding of the proposed sales tax and the City’s budget process while to sharing information and answer questions in a public setting.
