Despite a game-high 15 from Lamar Govain, the Hutchinson High boys basketball team fell on Saturday to Blue Valley in the third-place game at the McPherson Invitational. The game was postponed a week due to last week’s snowstorm.
Govain sank six field goals, but the rest of the Salthawks struggled, making seven.
Hutch led 8-5 after one quarter but trailed 21-17 by halftime.
Hutchinson fell to 5-9 and next plays Tuesday at Maize South.
