Allen College softball was selected to finish sixth in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Preseason Poll, released Tuesday.
The Red Devils totaled 78 points in the poll, which ranked 11 teams across the conference. Johnson County Community College topped the preseason rankings with 127 points and eight first-place votes.
Allen is coming off a 2025 season in which the Red Devils posted a 10–12 conference record and finished 24–27 overall.
The Red Devils will open the season with a stretch of nonconference play, totaling 29 games before beginning conference action on March 28 against Fort Scott. KJCCC play will consist of 20 doubleheaders against the league’s 10 opponents, running through May 3.
Following the regular season, the top eight teams in the conference standings will advance to the 2025 NJCAA Division II Plains District Tournament, scheduled for May 6–10 at Johnson County Community College.
Allen will open the 2025 season at home on Saturday, Feb. 7, hosting Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in a doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
