The Haven High School girls placed fifth at the Halstead Invitational Girls Wrestling Tournament Friday with 91.5 points.
Lyons placed seventh with 84.5 points, Halstead/Sedgwick placed 13th with 28.5 points, Hesston/Moundridge placed 15th with 21 points and Cheney 17th with 17 points.
Minneapolis/Bennington placed first with 151 points, followed by Maize 147, Wamego 146 and Wichita Heights 105.5.
Haven’s Teagan Rogers placed first at 145 pounds, Tristel Schroeder placed second at 150, Amelia Scott third at 100 and Hayden Williams third at 140. Lily Wickey competed at 135 pounds.
Lyons’ Kennedy Grizzle placed first at 105 pounds, Carsyn Wagner was second at 190, Jacynn Boeken second at 115, Addison Morgan fourth at 120 and Nicole Becerra fourth at 135. Tegan Tipp competed at 130 pounds.
Halstead’s Logan Overton and Riley Queen earned second-place finishes, Addie Thompson placed third and Ashley Ledford fourth.
Hesston/Moundridge’s Samantha Strausz placed at 170 pounds. Julia Nowicka competed at 135 pounds.
Cheney’s Ariana Sanders placed fifth at 125 pounds. Emma Arnold and Peyton Groves competed at 135 pounds and 235 pounds.
