Andale boys wrestling and boys and girls bowling had their first competitions of 2026 last weekend.
The Andale boys wrestling team won the Dodge City Showdown with four individual champions: Luke Martin at 113 pounds, Judd Eck at 132, Tristen Cox at 150, and Ethan Eck at 175. Levi Schmidt at 106 finished second, while Luke Seiler at 126 and Emmett Eck at 157 each finished fourth. Andale will wrestle in the Newton Tournament of Champions beginning on Friday.Â
The Andale bowling teams opened up their season at the Bishop Carroll Baker’s Bowling Classic on Saturday at Northrock Lanes in Wichita. The Andale girls finished sixth as a team with a score of 1,924, while the boys finished 29th with a score of 1,919. Andale travels to Derby Bowl on Tuesday to face McPherson and Mulvane.
