Governor Laura Kelly Announced Wednesday $6.7 million from the latest round of the Broadband Acceleration Grant program funding has been awarded to six companies for projects covering eight rural Kansas counties, two locally.

3JL Holdings LLC was awarded a nearly $1.5 million grant to support broadband expansion to 161 homes and businesses in Anderson County, and just over $1.38 million to support 124 homes and businesses in Woodson County.

To these grants will be added a like amount of private and local investment.

This funding is part of a ten year, $85 million program designed to bring essential Internet access to communities across the state.

This funding round brings to nearly $70 million the amount awarded for broadband infrastructure.
