LINN COUNTY, Kan. — Additional charges have been requested against a Pleasanton man in the death of 13-year-old Airen Andula, who disappeared from his home in the rural Holiday Lakes Community in Linn County on Dec. 21, 2025, and was found dead the following day in Missouri.

Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, who are handing the investigation, have requested charges in Linn County District Court against Damon Leonard including interference with law enforcement, criminal desecration, and having a vicious dog at large.

Leonard is already facing charges in Bates County, Missouri of abandonment of a corpse related to the death of Airen, whose body was found in a creek bed at the bottom of a ravine shortly after Leonard allegedly called authorities saying he knew where the body was.

Multiple dogs have been seized from Leonard’s property which is near the Andula home. A statement from Kansas City, Kansas Police Monday said additional charges could be filed.
