KBI investigating misconduct allegations in Allen County Jail

ALLEN COUNTY, Kan. — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is investigating allegations of misconduct involving an employee of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and an inmate at the Allen County Jail.

According to a statement Tuesday afternoon from Chief Deputy and Public Information Officer Daren Kellerman, Sheriff Anthony Maness contacted the KBI December 17th regarding the allegations. 

The employee involved has been placed on administrative leave until the investigation has concluded.

Upon completion of the investigation, case findings will be presented to the Allen County Attorney’s Office for determination of any charges.
