ELBING, Kan. — According to KAKE News, there was also a bomb threat this morning at Berean Academy in Elbing. Berean is a K-12 school located about 12 miles east of Newton, just inside Butler County. The threat was reported just after 8 a.m., and the school was immediately evacuated. Berean, which was scheduled to have an early dismissal Friday, decided to go ahead and start their Christmas break early.
