Hutchinson Trinity Girls, Boys Fall to Classical School of Wichita

The Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School girls and boys basketball team both lost to Classical School of Wichita Tuesday night at Wichita in the final games of the first semester.

The Celtic girls lost 57-36 and the Trinity boys lost 55-27.

Anika Paulsrud led the Trinity girls in scoring with 13 points. She also grabbed 8 rebounds and had 2 steals.

Alyssa Guajardo added 9 points and 2 steals. Cienna Maskil also scored 9 points and pulled down 7 rebounds.

Brecken Dowsey added 5 points for the Trinity girls.

Jane Neill and Maggie Neill each scored 18 points for Classical School of Wichita.

“We played a great first half, but struggled to put together a complete game with a short lineup,” said Trinity girls coach Shannon Obermite.

No information on scoring leaders for the boys game were available.

The Trinity boys and girls squads will host Sterling on Jan. 6 and will play at Marion on Jan. 9.
