The 2025 recipient of the Governor’s Tourism Award was awarded to Holly Lofton, Director of the Lindsborg Convention and Visitors Bureau. Lieutenant Governor and Commerce Secretary David Toland personally presented Lofton with the award during the 2026 Kansas Tourism Conference.

This annual award was established in 1983 to recognize Kansans for outstanding contributions to the Kansas travel and tourism industry. It is presented to an individual or organization that demonstrates cooperation, sustainability, quality and accountability in their support of the overall growth of tourism in Kansas.

“I am both appreciative and humbled to receive this award,” Lofton said. “This is truly an award that goes to the entire community of Lindsborg. I am grateful for the help and support of this great community of volunteers.”

Holly has served as the director of the Lindsborg Convention and Visitors Bureau for 13 years, is currently involved with the South-Central Kansas Tourism Region, serves as outgoing president of the Travel Industry Association of Kansas, Vice Chair of the Kansas State Fair Board, and Marketing Chair of the Kansas 250 Commission, assisting in planning how Kansas celebrates America 250 in 2026.

The City of Lindsborg invites the public to a come-and-go reception in her honor on December 12, from 4:00 – 6:00pm, at the Sundstrom Conference Center, 102 N. Main Street.
