HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson’s Historic Fox Theatre is kicking off the season of giving this weekend following Thanksgiving with a special community-focused promotion. Patrons who bring a non-perishable food item to the theatre will receive a free popcorn coupon—valid during the December Christmas Film Series.

The program begins during this weekend’s showings of Inside Out 2, where guests can drop off donated items and receive their popcorn coupons early. Though coupons will be handed out starting now, they can be redeemed only throughout December as part of the Theatre’s beloved Christmas film festivities.

“We know the holidays can be a joyful time, but they can also be incredibly tough for many families,” said Penny Bettles, Development Director of the Fox Theatre. “We wanted to create a simple, meaningful way for our patrons to give back.

Supporting the Reno County Food Bank while enjoying classic Christmas films felt like the perfect combination—good popcorn, good movies, and doing a little good for our community.”

The Fox Theatre encourages moviegoers to bring items such as canned goods, boxed meals, peanut butter, cereal, and other shelf-stable foods. All donations will be delivered directly to the Reno County Food Bank to support local families in need during the holiday season.
