The 2025 NCCAA DI Women’s Volleyball National Championship is set to take place from Wednesday, Dec. 3, to Saturday, Dec. 6, at Lookout Point, Mo, on the campus of College of the Ozarks. This prestigious tournament will feature eight competitive teams, each vying for the national title, including Sterling College who received an at-large selection after coming up short in the Central Region Championship
As the No. 1 seed, Columbia International University (24-7) enters the tournament with an at-large selection after losing in the opening round of the NAIA Tournament where they set a national record for highest-scoring set in the tournament, 38-36. They are recognized for their formidable defense, leading the NCCAA in blocks per set (2.75) and ranking in the top 10 for hitting percentage (.219) and points per set (16.17).
The No. 2 seed, Grace College (15-16), represents the Midwest region. Despite having the lowest win record, they boast top 10 rankings in assists (11.45 per set) and kills (12.32 per set), as well as being top three in digs (18.28 per set).
Seeded third, Ohio Christian University (28-3) is the Mideast Region Champion and holds the best record among all teams. They lead the NCCAA in opponent’s hitting percentage (.060) and rank top five in blocks (2.29 per set). Their defense also excels in limiting opponent service aces to an average of 1.18 per set.
The No. 4 seed, Mid-America Christian University (19-12), secured their spot as Central Region Champions. They rank in the NCCAA’s top five for kills (12.75), digs (17.99) and assists (11.97), and are in the top 10 for points per set (16.25), hitting percentage (.203), and service aces (2.02).
With a 16-16 record, Bethel University is the North Central Region representative at the five seed. They have a top 10 ranking in digs with 16.37 per set.
Seeded sixth, Clinton College (19-8), the South Region Champion, is top five in the NCCAA for hitting percentage (.221) and service aces per set (2.8). They lead the nation in limiting opponent digs (10.28 per set) and kills (8.32 per set).
As the host school, College of the Ozarks (17-11) earned their bid to the tournament and claimed the seven seed. They are top 10 in points per set (15.81), blocks per set (2.09), and service aces per set (1.96).
Making their first appearance in the NCCAA DI Volleyball National Championships, Sterling College (17-13) received the final at-large selection at the eight seed. They rank top five in blocks per set (2.33) and are top 10 in digs (16.69 per set), limiting opponents’ hitting percentage (.112), assists per set (9.64), and kills per set (10.34).
For the Christian Service Project, teams will be partnering with the area non-profit, Convoy of Hope, to pack grocery bags for families in need. Once packed, the groceries will be distributed in the local community through Convoy of Hope and other non-profit organizations.
Pool play is set to begin on Wednesday, Dec. 3 with No. 8 sterling taking on No. 1 Columbia International at 1:30 p.m. The Lady warriors will then play twice on Thursday, Dec. 4, starting at 9 a.m. with a match up against Mid-America Christian followed by a game against Bethel at 6 p.m.
The winner and runner-up of each pool will advance to the semi-final game on Friday, Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The winner of those games will play in the National Championship game on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m.
