Wilburton, OK – The Neosho County Lady Panthers hit the road on November 11 for a tough match-up inside Eastern Oklahoma’s Dunlap Fieldhouse, battling hard but ultimately falling 83–65 to a hot-shooting Eastern squad.
Even on the road, Neosho brought stretches of true #94FeetOfChaos energy, especially in the third quarter, where the Panthers exploded for 24 points and made a strong push back into the game.
Sophomore guard Lelani Carter was electric off the bench, pouring in 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including a confident knockdown three that helped spark Neosho’s best run of the night.
Jayla Wilson added 10 points, connecting on two threes and attacking the rim for big buckets when the Panthers needed momentum. Chloe Parker battled for 8 points and 7 boards, leading the charge on a night where Neosho won the rebounding battle 53–36. Ta’Neah Jones muscled her way to 7 rebounds and 6 points, giving the Panthers toughness in the paint.
Scoring and defensive contributions came from up and down the roster;Kaozong Yang and Bauke Graulus came away with 4 total rebounds each, Jessica Houston had 5 total boards.
Eastern Oklahoma caught fire from outside, hitting 12 threes and shooting nearly 46% from the field. A late fourth-quarter surge by the Mountaineers pushed the game out of reach.
Despite the final score, Neosho showed grit, rebounding dominance, and flashes of high-tempo chaos that point toward a team finding its rhythm and identity early in the season.
The Panthers hit the road again this weekend for the KCK Classic, taking on Kankakee on Friday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. and Metro on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 12 p.m.
