Leavenworth, Kan. – This weekend, Swedes XC closed out the season in great fashion at the KCAC Cross Country Championships hosted in Leavenworth, Kan. by the University of Saint Mary. Both teams representing Bethany College ran really well with the men’s team finishing in 5th and the women’s team finishing 7th. The women’s team finished with their best finish since 2020 and the men got their highest placing since 2016.
Logan McKim led the men’s squad with a personal best time of 27:00 in the 8k. On the women’s side, Logan Pevehouse led the charge with her personal best of 25:16 in the 6k.
Head Coach Daylon Smith: “This past weekend, we saw great runs by the men and women’s XC teams at the KCAC conference race. It was a great course with good weather for a November meet. The men’s and women’s teams were able to conquer the hills and finish with our highest placing in recent years! We are proud of both teams and all the hard work they have put in and they’ve done a great job representing the college and the program.”
