Lindsborg, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Football team played host to the Tabor College BlueJays for Senior Day in Lindsborg, Kan.
Both teams struggled to reach the endzone in the first quarter due to some stout plays by the defenses. The second and third quarters are where things went off the rails for the Swedes as they allowed 33 points. To open the fourth quarter, Lael Eddens would return a punt back for a touchdown to give the Swedes some life, but the offense could not get it going and the Swedes would fall 40-7.
NeTaveus Johnson continued to shine with 11 carries for 123 yards. Lael Eddens led the receiving corps with three catches for 52 yards. As for defense, Malcolm Jones led the Swedes with nine tackles including a tackle for loss. Andrew Bruce would tally two sacks.
As a team, the Swedes struggled to get the passing attack going as this was the sixth game in a row they have failed to reach 100 net passing yards. The Swedes will need it for their final game of the season next week.

The Swedes will travel to Nixa, Mo. to take on the Evangel University Valor to end the season. Kickoff is set for 1:05 PM at Eagle Stadium.
