HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Each week, Ad Astra Radio recognizes different athlete’s outstanding achievements. We are proud to announce Trinity Catholic High School senior Jacob Lindstrom as this week’s Athlete of the Week!
The week – Lindstrom capped off his strong season by winning the Class 2A state championship on Saturday at Wamego Country Club. Lindstrom finished the 5,000-meter course in a time of 16 minutes 26.21 seconds, winning the race by more than 11 seconds. Lindstrom’s individual title also helped the Celtics claim the team championship.
The season – Lindstrom had a strong senior season, winning a regional championship in Wichita and the Heart of America League championship at Prairie Ridge Cross Country Course in Hutchinson. Lindstrom plans to run in college.
