ALLEN COUNTY, Kan. — Allen County has changed mass emergency alert providers, and for many residents, it will bring with it a need to re-register.
Allen County Emergency Management said they were able to move a limited number of registrants from the CodeRED system they were using due to limitations with CodeRed. If you try to sign up with the new Genasys system and hit an error, that may be why.
You can sign up for the new system at allencountyks.genasys.com/portal.
Genasys will have more notification options than they had in the past, and you’ll be able to select which ones you want to receive.
There will be notifications going out on CodeRED about the change, and Allen County will cease using CodeRED after Jan. 3, 2026.
