The Inman Teutons’ season ended with a 25-20, 22-25, 25-14 loss to Valley Heights-Blue Rapids in the Kansas Class 2A sub-state tournament championship Saturday at Bennington.
In the semifinals, the Teutons defeated Bennington 25-15, 25-14 and Valley Heights defeated Berean Academy 27-25, 25-15.
Inman finished the 2025 season with a 28-14 record. In 2024, Inman posted a 43-3 record and placed third at the Class 2A state tournament.
Valley Heights will take a 29-9 record to the Class 2A state tournament next Thursday through Saturday at Dodge City’s United Wireless Arena.
Joining Valley Heights at the Class 2A state tournament are Ellinwood (42-0), Winchester-Jefferson County North (30-4), Rossville (25-13), Humboldt (34-9), Conway Springs (26-12), Hillsboro (32-9) and Oakley (36-4).
