
ANDALE, Kan. — For the third time this season, the Andale football team produced a shutout.
It also came with a district championship on the line as the Indians hosted Hesston on Friday, while extending their winning streak to 21 with a 57-0 victory.
Andale capitalized on a Hesston fumble with a 1-yard touchdown run by Jack Horsch with 10:17 left in the first quarter. The Indians got an 84-yard touchdown run by Lane Parthemer and a 29-yard touchdown run by Jrayton Dansel, extending their lead to 22-0 after one quarter.
The Indians scored five more times in the second quarter with a 30-yard touchdown run by Noah Stanley, a 20-yard touchdown run by Sam Harp, Harp finding Hunter Grimes for a 51-yard touchdown reception, Parthemer scoring his second touchdown with a 3-yard run, and Harp finding Afton Allaire with a 3-yard touchdown reception. The game was contested with a running clock the entire second half.
Parthemer led the way, rushing for 147 yards on two carries. Harp went 5-for-7 for 119 yards and two touchdowns and added 97 yards on the ground and a score.
