The Little River volleyball team, the No. 1 seed in Class 1A Division I, captured the Quad A regional Monday night at the Little River Gymnasium with a 2-0 record.
The Redskins (36-2) defeated Pleasanton 25-7, 25-10 and Burden-Central 25-10, 25-14. Pleasanton defeated Burden-Central 25-22, 25-18.
In Class 1A Division I Quad B, Pretty Prairie finished second with a 1-1 record and advanced to the sub-state round with a 19-18 record.
Pretty Prairie defeated Greensburg-Kiowa County 25-15, 25-13 and lost to regional champion Spearville 21-25, 25-4, 25-12. Spearville opened the regional with a 25-9, 25-12.
In Class 1A Division I Quad C, Fairfield lost to St. John-Hudson 25-6, 25-9 and Coldwater-South Central 25-18, 25-22.
St. John (25-12) won the regional title with a 25-19, 25-9 victory over Coldwater (18-16). Fairfield finished the season with a 7-22 record.
First- and second-place finishers at regionals advanced to the sub-state round.
