HUTCHINSON, Kan. – October 21, 2025 – Hutchinson Fire Department responded to the 1500 BLK of East 23rd Ave. this afternoon for a report of a detached garage on fire. First Arriving Crews found a 24′ by 24′ garage with heavy fire showing from the building. Crews entered the garage and started an aggressive attack and extinguished the fire quickly.
No one was reported to be inside, and no injuries were noted. The home on the property was undamaged and was occupied by 1 person and 2 dogs. The fire damaged a large portion of the garage with no damage to nearby exposures. The fire is currently under investigation.
