WINFIELD, Kan. – McPherson High School Volleyball closed out the 2025 regular season with a 32-5 season record after sweeping Winfield and Augusta.

The Bullpups won the opening match against Winfield in two sets (25-10, 25-15). They followed up with a win against Augusta in a two-set sweep (25-15, 25-14).

The two wins also end the season with a 9-1 record against AVCTL-3 opponents, winning them the league title. Their lone league loss was to Mulvane back on Sept. 2.

The 32 wins already surpass the combined win total from the regular season and postseason in 2024. The Bullpups finished in 4th place last season, beating key teams like Concordia and Clearwater in pool play, then losing to Bishop Miege in the semi-finals and Topeka-Hayden in the 3rd place game.

McPherson will look to turn that around this fall, starting with Sub-State on Saturday, Oct. 25. The Bullpups are 3rd in the 4A West Sub-State standings.
