Robert Hunter rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown, and he added 147 passing yards and three touchdowns Friday, as the Hutchinson High football team routed Campus 42-0 at Gowans Stadium.
The Salthawks dominated throughout, gaining 397 yards while holding Campus to 58 yards.
Hutch grabbed an early lead on a 20-yard touchdown run from Larry Jeremiah Jr. Hunter then fired a touchdown pass of 11 yards to Lamar Govain and 24 yards to Jeremiah, as Hutch led 21-0 at halftime.
Hunter added a 62-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, and Max Harris blocked a punt and scooped up the ball for a touchdown. Hunter and Govain hooked up for the final touchdown from 17 yards.
Hutchinson improved to 4-2 and moved to sixth place in the Class 5A West District standings. The Salthawks will travel to Newton next week.
