CHENEY, Kan. – McPherson High School’s Varsity Girls Golf team won the AVCTL Div. 3 & 4 title Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Cherry Oaks Golf Course in Cheney.
The tournament was scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m., but it was postponed to 11:00 a.m. and reduced from 18 holes to nine holes.
The Bullpups had three golfers finish in the top five, led by Brodie Kuhn’s second-place finish, who finished just one stroke behind the individual winner (Lilli Sympson – Winfield). Andi Buschbom placed third, and Lleyton Kuhn in 5th. Amelia Moody placed 26th, Addison French finished 31st, and Leah Cahoone in 43rd.
McPherson will now prepare for Regionals, which will take place at Hesston Golf Course on Monday, Oct. 13.
