Hesston, Kan. The Bethany College Men’s and Women’s Golf team took down the road to Hesston, Kan. to partake in the Bethel Fall Invitational hosted by Bethel College.
As a team, the Swedes placed 2nd, but had a very strong couple rounds. Will Briggs placed 3rd overall with a great total score of 207 (Even) with his best round being Round 3 where he shot a strong one under par round to secure his third place. Briggs played consistently throughout all three rounds shooting 70, 69, and 68. Mads Hasenschwandtner placed 6th shooting a 210 (+3). Hasenschwandtner played his best round also in the last round shooting 68 (-1).
Aiden Lynch (215) and Luke Tate (216) helped the Swedes for their runner-up finish with their improved performances.
Taylor Hardin 221 (+14) rounded up the counting scores for the team.
Freshman Beckham Sanguras had his first 54-hole tournament experience and played as Individual for the Swedes. He ended up finishing 20th.
Logan Jakus (11th) led the way for the Women.
Overall, the Swedes had a improved performance this week and a lot of positives to build up on for the last couple of tournaments of the Fall Schedule.
Coming up the Swedes will be travelling to Windsor, CO to compete in the Raindance National Invite hosted by Hastings College the 13th and 14th of October.
