WICHITA, Kan. – McPherson High School Girls Tennis took part in the Wichita Collegiate Tournament of Champions on Saturday, Sept. 27, finishing in 5th place out of 16 schools, 2nd amongst 4A schools.
The only 4A school to finish higher than McPherson in the tournament was Wichita Collegiate. Andover won the tournament, beating out Blue Valley North by just one point. Collegiate finished 3rd overall, and Kapaun Mt. Carmel finished in 4th.
Maryn Sandbo placed 9th in Singles with a 4-1 record. Dragon Rodriguez finished 12th with a 2-3 record. In duos, Quinn Liebl / Avery Unruh finished 4th, and Mayson Wiens / Lleyton Kuhn placed 11th.
The Bullpups wrap up the regular season with the Goddard Quad on Tuesday, Sept. 30, before preparing for League and Regionals.
