Area Runners Compete at Rim Rock; Hutchinson Trinity Boys Take First in Division

Several area cross country runners participated in the Rim Rock Farm High School Cross Country Classic Saturday in Lawrence.

Rim Rock Farm hosts the Kansas Class 6A and 5A state cross country meets Saturday, Nov. 1.

The Hutchinson Trinity Catholic boys cross country team placed first in the Boys 5K Varsity Blue division with 148 points. Lyons placed 41st with 1,037 points and Sterling was 59th with 1,509 points.

Buhler placed fourth in the Girls 5K Varsity Blue division with 173 points and Inman placed 40th with 1,007 points.

The Buhler boys placed 30th in the Boys 5K Varsity Gold division with 696 points.

Boys 5K Varsity Blue

John Lindstrom and Jacob Lindstrom, of Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School, placed fourth and sixth in the Boys 5K Varsity Blue race with times of 16 minutes, 48.42 seconds, and 16:55.29.

Trinity’s Cameron Kiser placed 50th, 18:03.86; Ambrose Pennycuff, 55th, 18:08.63; Sam Madden, 58th, 18:11.67; Sam Pennycuff. 75th, 18:21.47; Noah Lau, 96th, 18:42.53.

Inman’s Tyler Martisko placed 10th with a time of 17:02.87, followed by teammate Riley Roots, 30th, 17:38.91; August Kringel, 404th, 22:38.84; Hunter Schrader, 445th, 23:43.44.

Lyons’ top runner was Cain Villasenor, 90th, 18:38.99; Aaron Villasenor, 107th, 18:51.72; Francisco Espinoza, 158th, 19:26.45; Jose Recendiz, 359th, 21:54.32; Edgard Morales, 420th, 22:53.55; Adahir Rivera, 461st, 24:22.93; Noah Gray, 499th, 27:31.03.

Sterling was paced by William Wilson. 187th, 19:44.11; followed by Sebi Simpson-Eighmy, 279th, 20:52.97; Ben Bierstedt, 381st, 22:13.63; Issac Welty, 382nd, 22:14.01; Ryder Heter, 416th, 22:43.02; Clark Weber, 455th, 24:07.91.

Girls 5K Varsity Blue

Buhler High School’s Corbin Starkweather placed seventh in the Girls 5K Varsity Blue race with a time of 20 minutes,18.9 seconds. Teammate Isabella Friesen finished ninth with a time of 20:34.65.

Buhler’s Brynlee Adams placed 60th, 21:59.64; Isabella Rivera, 90th, 22:28.01; Hannah Dick, 173rd, 23:57.69; Emma Smith, 201st, 24:23.56;

Halstead’s Addison Wills placed 114th with a time of 23:00.42. Briley Almon placed 175th, 23:58.86;

Sterling’s Jaelynn Saiz placed 237th with a time of 25:01.94, followed by Israel Kuhn, 287th, 26:13.88; Annabelle deWit, 292nd, 26:19.97; Kyler Larsen. 370th, 31:57.69.

Inman’s Abigail Siemens placed 244th with a time of 25:14.86, followed by Allison Wedel 264th, 25:44.72; Natalie Siemens, 298th, 26:30.21; Camille Bray. 340th, 28:51.88.

Lyons’ Alli Solis placed 248th with a time of 25:23.05.

Boys 5K Varsity Gold

Buhler’s Gavin Lindahl placed 15th in the Boys 5K Varsity Gold with a time of 16:22.68.

Teammate Ryan Cherry placed 65th, 17:16.43; Ben Gazaway, 262nd, 18:55.15; Samuel Hougham, 203rd, 18:55.57; Cole Unruh, 240th, 20:05.72; Noah Napier, 254th, 22:07.02; and Zayden Mendenhall, 255th, 22:20.12.

Hutchinson runners compete in Boys 5K Varsity Crimson division

Hutchinson’s Cristian Medina placed 33rd in the Boys 5K Varsity Crimson race with a time of 18:17.18, followed by Ethan Holmes, 38th, 18:22.5; Aiden Koontz, 113rd, 20:17.81; Lalo Rodriguez, 119th, 20:23.46; and Colin Pfannenstiel, 163rd, 23:32.48.

JV girls 5K

Buhler’s Allison Johnson placed 97th in the Junior Varsity Girls 5K division with a time of 23:39.96, followed by Aneesa Courson, 108th, 23:57.86.

JV Boys 5K

Hutchinson Trinity’s Dylan Bornholdt placed 63rd in the Junior Varsity Boys 5K division with a time of 18:42.71; followed by Bryan Maya, 95th, 19:15.82; Jonathan Springer, 101st, 19:22.65; and Jackson Robinson, 198th, 21:09.71.
