Buhler Girls, Paulsrud Capture Titles at Nickerson Golf Tournament

The Buhler High School girls golf team captured first place at the 9-hole par-36 Nickerson Invitational Thursday at Crazy Horse Golf Course in Hutchinson.

Buhler’s Anika Paulsrud and Macy Miller placed first and second with 50s. Paulsrud defeated Miller in a playoff for first-place medalist honors.

Buhler finished first with a 176 score and Cheney placed second with a 182 score. Larned placed third at 222, followed by Andale 256, Nickerson 263, Pratt 264, Kingman 266, Hoisington 267 and Medicine Lodge 269.

Buhler’s Harlie Terrell and Addison Specht placed 10th and 11th with 48s.

Paityn Weber finished 13th with a 49, Ellie Goering placed 15th with a 50 and Gracin Bergmeier placed 21st with a 57.

Paulsrud, Miller, Terrell, Specht, Weber and Goering earned medals for placing in the Top 15.

Nickerson’s top golfer was Aubree Nikkel, who placed 22nd with a 58. Jillian Harman placed 32nd with a 65, followed by Rylee Gilbert, 42nd, 69; Cora Mae Narron, 54th, 74.

Pretty Prairie’s Jewelynn Reese placed 16th with a 53. Lyndsey Hoyt was 19th with a 54 and Hallie Deel was 43rd with a 70.

Crazy Horse is the home course for Nickerson Panther golfers.
