The Hesston High School girls tennis won the Hesston Invitational Wednesday afternoon with 26 points.
Haven placed seventh with 7 points and Hutchinson Trinity Catholic finished eighth with 2 points.
Hesston edged out Ellsworth 26-25 for first place. Followed by Conway Springs in third place with 22. Valley Center was fourth with 14 points, followed by Smoky Valley fifth with 12 and Towanda-Circle sixth with 8.
Hesston won No. 2 singles (Laine Widener) and No. 2 doubles (Caroline Yoder and Candice Tolle). Ellsworth won No. 1 singles (Aubrey Koehn). Conway Springs (Morgan Koester and Sadie Koester) won No. 1 doubles.
Haven’s Bayleigh Minnis and Karlee Cooprider placed fifth at No. 1 doubles, Madison Richey placed sixth at No. 2 singles, Kensie Popp was seventh at No. 1 singles and Kayla Rose and Sorrell DeFrain placed seventh at No. 2 doubles.
Trinity’s Hazel Wuertz placed seventh in No. 2 singles and Audree Wilson and Gracie Goering placed seventh at No. 1 doubles.
