The Southeast of Saline high school cross country meet at Gypsum has been canceled because of wet conditions on the course.
There will be no make up date for this race.
“Due to the rain overnight (Monday) and standing water on the course, they (school officlals) are going to cancel our cross country meet today (Tuesday),” said the school on its social media pages. “Unfortunately, there isn’t a good make up date. We will try again next year.”
Buhler, Halstead, Andale, Great Bend and McPherson were among the schools scheduled to compete.
Other cancelations:
• Remington High School in Whitewater announced that the cross country meet at Rock City has been canceled.
• The Cheney Invitational high school girls golf tournament at Cherry Oaks Golf Course was postponed to next Tuesday (Sept. 30).
Haven, Nickerson, Cheney and Pretty Prairie were among the teams scheduled to compete at the Cheney Invitational.
