The Halstead High School volleyball team, the defending Kansas Class 3A state champions, won the 19th annual Marion High School Spikefest with a 5-0 record.
The Dragons defeated Moundridge 17-25, 25-22, 25-23 in the championship match. Katherine Engel and Bailey Bernal were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The tournament took place at the Marion USD 408 Sports and Aquatic Center.
Halstead posted a 3-0 record in pool play. The Dragons defeated Marion 25-20, 25-8, Eureka 25-6, 25-12 and Wichita Central Christian Academy 25-21, 25-21.
In the semifinals of bracket play, Halstead defeated Berean Academy 25-17, 25-7.
The Dragons improved to 14-3 and have won 11 straight matches.
Halstead plays Hillsboro and Nickerson on Tuesday in a triangular at Hillsboro.
