Four Hutchinson High School athletes competed in the Hays High School Invitational cross country meet Thursday morning.
Cristian Medina finished sixth in the boys 5K with a time of 17:10.7. Lalo Rodriguez was 37th in 19:39.5 and Aiden Koontz was 39th in 19:40.4.
Avery Tecklenburg placed 20th in the girls 5K race with a time of 22 minutes, 43.9 seconds.
In the JV girls 5K, Hutchinson’s Aaida Brown placed 13h with a time of 2:22.5, followed by Allison Henning, 54th, 28:21.2; and Kieryn Bain, 56th, 29:10.4.
Medina and Brown earned medals.
In the junior varsity boys 5K, Hutchinson’s Colin Pfannenstiel, Jacob Rogers and Collin Patton placed 63rd, 64th and 65th with times of 22:07.6, 22:13.6 and 22:34.4. Will Reade placed 74th with a time of 27:27.4.
