The Hutchinson High cross country teams made the trek to Emporia on Saturday, with the boys finishing in 18th place and the girls taking four individuals.
Freshman Cristian Medina led the boys team with a 58th-place finish, completing the 5,000-meter course in a time of 18 minutes, 21.75 seconds. Senior Ethan Holmes also broke 20 minutes, finishing in 19:19.41.
Leading the girls team was sophomore Aaid Brown, who finished in a time of 30 minutes, 17.33 seconds.
