
The Inman High School cross country team had a good day at the Hesston High School Swather Special with six medalists.
Tyler Martisko took home the gold in the senior boys 5K race with a time of 17 minutes, 42.6 seconds. Riley Roots finished third with a time of 18:19.2.
Addison Wedel placed 17th in the senior girls race with a time of 26:26.8 and Abigail Siemens placed 18th in 26:28.2.
August Kringel took 17th in the junior boys race with a time of 20:39 and Camille Bray 24th in the junior girls 5K with a time of 29:38.5.
Jayden Roots was 24th in the 5K sophomore girls race at 27:58.5, followed by Natalie Siemens, 28th, 28:25.
Inman’s Loki Turcotte placed 10th in the freshman girls race with a time of 25:42.7.
Halstead’s Addison Wills placed 19th in the senior girls division with a time of 24:23.8 and Mackenzie Ervin was 26th in 31:33.1.
Halstead’s Briley Allmon placed 15th in the 5K junior girls division with a time of 24:27.1, followed by Addie Mabry, 21st, 28:34.6; Whitney McGlothlin, 25th, 30:12; and Madi Rump, 29th, 33:38.3.
Halstead’s Russell Schroeder placed 27th in the junior boys race with a time of 21:50.7.
Halstead’s Johnathan Haspels placed third in the 5K sophomore boys race with a time of 19:41.8, followed by Eli Wilcox, 33rd, 23:22.8; Austin Schroeder, 34th, 23:26.8; Donovan Heley, 41st, 25:53.4; Daniel Lipani, 44th, 27:50.3 and Wiley Hoch, 45th, 29:07.8.
Halstead’s Jeriah Plank placed 59th in the freshman boys 5K division with a time of 28:41, followed by Geordan Schrag, 64th, 32:22.5.
Sterling’s Israel Kuhn was 20th in the senior boys 5K with a time of 27:34.6. The Black Bears’ Ben Reirstedt placed 23rd in 21:37.
Sterling’s Issac Welty placed 33rd in the junior boys 5K with a time of 22:55.5.
Sterling’s William Wilson placed fourth in the sophomore boys 5K division with a time of 20:05.5. Noah Gray was 49th in 31:56.5.
Sterling’s Ryder Heter placed 28th in the freshman boys 5K with a time of 23:24.7.
In the freshman girls 5K race, Sterling’s Jaelynn Saiz placed third with a time of 24:38, followed by Annabelle deWit, 21st, 29:27.1.
Lyons’ Edgard Morales placed 21st in the 5K junior boys competition with a time of 21:14.1, followed by Dale Loughridge, 31st, 22:44.7; and Angel Landeros, 34th, 23:37.2.
Lyons’ Derek Valerio placed 15th in the sophomore boys 5K division with a time of 20:51.9., followed by Yassell Reyes, 27th, 22:21.7; Jon Steele, 40th, 25:14.5; Alex Landeros, 47th, 30:52.8; and Matthew Thurman, 51st, 34:55.5.
Lyons’ Alli Solis placed 18th in the junior girls 5K division with a time of 25:51.4.
Lyons’ Aaron Villasenor placed sixth in the 5K freshman boys division with a time of 19:54, followed by Gerardo Vasquez, eighth, 20:06.3; Adahir Rivera, 27th, 23:07.5; and Graysen Staples, 66th, 39:23.7.
Lyons’ Gracie Beaver placed 22nd in the freshman girls 5K division with a time of 29:33.2, followed by Tegan Tipp, 27th, 31:55; and Sarah Loughbridge, 34th, 38:54.9.
Burrton’s Isaac Jones placed 12th in the junior boys 5K division with a time of 19:51.4. Talia Miller placed 33rd in the 5K freshman girls division with a time of 37:05.2.
The Lyons boys placed fifth in the 3-2-1A division with 44 points, Sterling ninth with 96 points and Halstead 16th with 128 points.
The Sterling girls placed 12th in the 3-2-1A division with 44 points, Inman 13th with 45 points, Halstead 15th with 48 points and Lyons 21st with 58 points.
