The Pretty Prairie and Nickerson girls golf teams participated in the Medicine Lodge Varsity 9-hole tournament Tuesday at the par-36 Medicine Lodge Golf Club.
Cheney win the team title with a 186 score, followed by Larned 209, Pratt 215, Kingman 232, Garden Plain 258 and Medicine Lodge 275.
Pretty Prairie’s Jewelynn Reese tied for 13th with a 54 score. Teammate Lyndsey Hoyt placed 19th with a 61.
Nickerson’s Aubree Nikkel and Jillian Hartman tied for 20th with 62s.
Cheney placed six golfers in the top 11 and Larned three golfers in the top 10.
Cheney’s Emmerson Bearley won the first-place medal with 44, edging out teammate Ella Haar and Larned’s Ariana Meyer, who tied for second with 45s.
Larned won the Medicine Lodge junior varsity tournament with a 215 score, followed by Cheney 237, Pratt 250, Kingman 275 and Medicine Lodge 289.
Pretty Prairie’s Hallie Deal placed fourth with a 60 and teammate Kedra Reese tied for seventh with a 65.
Nickerson’s Brooke Michaels tied for 28th with a 78 and teammate Dakota Hayworth tied for 30th with a 77.
Cheney’s Nikki Wright and Hailey Wells finished first and second with 53 and 55.
