McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson High School was evacuated for a brief time Wednesday afternoon after a reported electrical fire. McPherson Fire and Police units along with EMS responded just before 3 p.m.
Upon investigation it was found an electrical circuit in the wood shop under the Roundhouse had a short in it that produced a small amount of smoke. The breaker to the circuit was shut off which resolved the issue.
Students were released for the day as the scene was cleared, as this was just before regular dismissal time.
