McPHERSON, Kan. — The future of McPherson Middle School’s School Supply Closet is in doubt, and they need your help.
The supply closet, started in 2020 by members of that year’s Leadership McPherson class to assist students at MMS with school supplies during the school year, has up to now been entirely funded by the original Leadership class, and those funds are expected to run out at the end of the 2025-26 school year,
To ensure continuation of the program going forward, a fund has been established with the McPherson County Community Foundation, through which they are hoping to raise at least 40 thousand dollars, which would ensure the program’s sustainability based on what it currently provides in assistance each year.
